Back in September of 2008, Titan Poker began a quest to find the 2009 Team Titan Poker. Now, in January of 2009, the elite online poker team has been formed.

TitanPoker.com announced 12 online poker players determined worthy of developing the 2009 Team Titan Poker. To make the grade, online poker players battled it out in a series of monthly, regional poker tournaments. The Final Country Tournaments took place in mid-December, where the top finishers were awarded a spot on Team Titan Poker.

The package includes a 6-month sponsorship to represent their country and the online poker room at their choice of live, land-based poker tournaments. Of course, any winnings derived from these poker events will be theirs to keep.

The 12 members of Team Titan Poker hail from various parts of the world, including Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and Spain.

Representing Italy is 32-year-old Kolinci, who is “honored and overjoyed at the opportunity to participate in [his] first live tournaments as part of the Titan Poker Team.” Kolinci went on to say, “My philosophy in life is ‘Carpe Diem’ (‘Seize the Day’), and this is what I intend to do this year!”

Titan Poker is currently developing blogs for each of the 12 Team Titan Poker members so that they can share their experiences along the road to hopeful successful.

Dedicated members of the online poker room who did not make the team will still have plenty of opportunities, via multiple satellites and qualifiers, to join Team Titan Poker on their quest for live tournament victory. Titan Poker is famous for awarding seats to major live poker events, including the EPT, APT, Aussie Millions and others.
