Absolute Poker has announced their upcoming Sports Legends Challenge which will pit online poker pros against some of the biggest names in sports. Online players can compete to earn a seat to the Sports Legends Challenge which will take place this September in the Bahamas.

Players can visit Absolute Poker and compete two different ways to earn a seat at the Sports Legends Challenge. Players can qualify through the Step tournaments by getting a Step 10 ticket and then competing in the final table for a VIP package to the Challenge. Players can also qualify through the Absolute Poker Sports Legends Special Giveaway which is located under the “Special” tab at Absolute Poker.

Those who make it to the Challenge will be able to run elbows with several poker pros and sports players. Absolute Poker has twenty five sports figures and twenty five poker players who will be competing in the Challenge.

The sports stars include: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Troy Aikman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Richard Petty, Reggie Jackson, Emmitt Smith, Mike Ditka, Joe Namath, Herschel Walker, Jim Brown, Jerry West, Julius Erving, Kyle Petty, Michael Strahan and Fuzzy Zoeller. Those included on the poker pro list are Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth.

The Absolute Poker Sports Legends Challenge will last four days and will feature many casino free rolls and up to $10 million in prizes. The finale will be a $1 million No Limit Texas Hold’em event and it will be filmed to air on television. The finale will air on Fox Sports on Thanksgiving Day.

The dates for the event are September 14th through the 17th at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas. Players who earn a prize package will receive: round trip airfare to and from the Bahamas, five nights’ accommodations at the Atlantis, $500 in spending money, access to the opening draft party, daily golf tournaments and much more.
