The Asia Pacific Championship of Online Poker is going to start soon at PokerStars, but in the meantime, PokerStars is giving players the chance to earn free buy-ins to the APCOOP tournaments. Remember that this promotion is only open to players from Australia and New Zealand, which means the playing field isn’t going to be that big and your chances of winning will be fairly decent considering the size of the prize pools.

In order to earn a seat into the freeroll tournament where you’ll have the chance to earn a seat into one of the APCOOP events you need to make a deposit into your PokerStars account before the 20th of the month. You can make your first deposit if you’re a new player or you can make a reload deposit and still earn the freeroll ticket. Make sure that you use the code “ANZ100” if you’re making your first deposit ever and code “APCOOP” if you’re making a reload deposit.

The freeroll tournament will take place at PokerStars at 2PM EST on November 20th, so make sure you mark your schedule so that you don’t miss out on the tournament since there is only one chance. The top 100 players in the freeroll tournament will earn a seat into one of the Asia Pacific Championship of Online Poker tournaments. Players that finish in the top places will earn a higher valued ticket then players that finish near the bottom of the top 100. Below is a breakdown of the prizes available during the freeroll tournament.

• 1st – 9th Place – $215 APCOOP Ticket
• 10th – 50th Place – $33 APCOOP Ticket
• 51st – 100th Place – $22 APCOOP Ticket

As you can see there is no reason why you wouldn’t play in the freeroll tournament. There is absolutely no risk involved in playing in the tournament and you could potentially win a $215 buy-in to one of the big APCOOP tournaments. The Asia Pacific COOP will start on November 21st and run until November 28th. There will be a total of 11 tournaments held throughout the week and over $100,000 will be won over the course of the eleven tournaments.

Not only can you win a massive prize from playing in these tournaments, but you’ll also be able to try and earn a seat into the Main Event at the APPT Sydney event. In order to try and win the Main Event prize package you need to finish atop of the leaderboard in the APCOOP series at PokerStars. With pros such as Joe Hachem competing in the series this month, it’s going to be very good challenge for poker players from Australia and New Zealand.
