The inaugural Betfair Online Side Series (BOSS) finished up last week and awarded the winner the poker table from the recent World Series of Poker Europe Main Event. It was online player Apparaten of Sweden who won the $100,000 guaranteed Main Event.

A field of 159 players was competing for the win and the poker table. The first place prize was $47,700 and the actual poker table used in the WSOPE final. The table was signed by Barry Shulman, who won the main event, as well as runner-up Daniel Negreanu and Jason Mercier. The other final table participants signed the table as well.
Included in the first place prizes was one of the decks of cards used during the WSOPE main event final. All prizes awarded to Apparaten are perfect for the poker fan or collector of poker memorabilia. Second place went to online player HoldemHindi who earned $31,500 and Pollenflug earned the third place finish taking home $18,921.
BOSS was an online series created by Betfair that ran in conjunction with the World Series of Poker Europe. Players were able to compete online in various tournaments that varied in buy-ins so players of any bankroll could compete.

Events included in the inaugural BOSS tournament were a PLO event, a Pot Limit Hold’em tournament, a $10,000 GTD No Limit Hold’em tournament and the $100,000 Guaranteed Main event. The winner of the $10,000 GTD NLHE event was online player FireAce who earned $4,400. The winner of the GTD PLO event was online player touten who earned $2,800 and the $5k GTD Pot Limit event was won by MessiLionel.

The BOSS events were a great success according to Betfair Poker and will hopefully return with the next World Series of Poker Europe next year. This tournament series was a great way for players to get the chance to earn items that were used by great professional poker players and are sure to be treasured.
