  • Brand New Poker Tour Announced for Ladies

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 by Ryan

There have been many new poker tours coming out as of late, and one that sticks out of the bunch is the new US Ladies Poker Championship Circuit Tour (USLPCC). The tour was created by the same group who set up and launched the Ladies International Poker Series, and is essentially a group of poker tournaments that feature big time prize pools, large buy-in’s and a championship at the end of the tour. This could potentially draw some of the bigger names in poker in terms of women, and will also draw a different group of women’s players as well. The set up of the tour will feature a 12 event schedule, and a championship that ends the season.

Each event will feature a $340 buy-in, which puts $300 towards the event and $40 towards the casino rake. On top of that, each tournament will also have a $10 add-on which players can purchase for 2,000 bonus chips on top of their regular starting stack. The standard starting stack for the event will 10,000 chips, so you could bet that many people will do the additional $10 add-on. Each of the tournaments will run over a weekend’s span starting on Saturday, and running over 12 hours. After that, the action stops and will continue on Sunday, with the final table of the events actually being played live online for fans and players to watch.

To this point, there have been six events scheduled, with the remainder set to be released in the near future. The action will start on December 3rd at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. The events then move to Atlantic City, New Jersey at the Golden Nugget Casino of January 7th, and then Las Vegas at the Venetian Casino on February 4th. The remaining three stops of the event are in Lincoln, California at the Thunder Valley Casino on March 17th, and then on April 14th at the Orange Park Kennel Club in Jacksonville, Florida, and last but not least is the event at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, California on April 28th. It has also been announced that there will be an event played at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, with no final date set.

As far as the Championship Event goes, it will feature a $550 buy-in, and will take place on the 1st of September next year in Las Vegas. Fortunately for the players, you can actually win your way into this event without having to pay the full buy-in. There is a prize package at each tour stop which is given if you play in the Mega Satellite. The satellite features a $150+$25 buy-in, plus the $10 optional bonus for all players. There will be one package given for every ten players in the event, and it will include the seat to the Main Event, $850 to cover your expenses to get to the event, and also a $100 Premium Seating ticket for the Women in Poker Hall of Fame.

We’ll keep you posted on the remaining events as they are released, but this is definitely an event to check out for all of the women’s poker players out there!
