It has recently come to light that Lee Jones is now working with Cake Poker. Jones is the former poker room manager of PokerStars and Chief Operating Officer of CardRunners. Jones left CardRunners after about a year and according to a recent interview with Poker News Daily, Jones will be the official Card Room Manager of CakePoker.com.

Jones commented in the interview that he will be acting as an advocate for players and he will be at live events, playing online as well as hosting tournaments. Jones has also been working on tournaments and client software.

Jones knowledge of the poker industry will definitely help Cake Poker in the industry in which they are already thriving. Jones is currently helping with upgrading the software of the website. Jones commented in his interview that Cake Poker believes the software client is the websites weakest link. He also commented that people are currently working on a new update and when it is released it will be state of the art where it can stand on its own against Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars.

Several poker rooms operate under the Cake Poker network including Doyles Room, Poker Host and Poker World. Cake Poker can also accept United States players, which is a good asset to have as US players are always looking for somewhere to play. Cake Poker is currently sitting as the tenth largest worldwide group of sites and with Jones help they should be able to move forward and gain position on the list.
