According to recent reports made by the MMAPayout website, Full Tilt Poker will no longer be the sponsor for the UFC. MMAPayout had already reported that Spike had banned the poker room. The UFC was the natural next step for the ban as they are the television partner for the UFC.

The ban of Full Tilt applies to the fighters and the company. Full Tilt had been a large sponsor of the UFC with their logo being prominently displayed on players with their shorts, t-shirts and fighter hats.

Because Spike had already banned the poker room, the UFC was experiencing several problems. They were unable to gain the naming rights to the replays during the event or get signage on the Mat.

The UFC did not always affiliate with gambling companies. They used to keep them at a distance but changed when they needed help with advertising. As Full Tilt is one of the largest online poker rooms in the world, they chose wisely. Now we shall see how big of a difference it will make since the poker room is no longer their sponsor.
