Last week we brought you the news that the famous mystery player Isildur1 was going to compete in PartyPoker’s Big Game. Isildur1 accepted fellow poker pro Tony G’s offer to compete in the tournament. Now news has broke the Isildur1 has backed out of competing in the tournament.

The news broke that Isildur1 would not be competing when Tony G took to his blog and stated that the mystery poker pro was not going to attend. Tony G said that Isildur1 commented: “Sry for not coming, take care but.”

Tony G goes on to state in his blog that Eddie Hearn the event organizer and management of Matchroom Sport personally spoke to Isildur1 and the cancellation was confirmed. Fans and poker players were both excited to see Isildur1 take to the felt live. Many wanted to see him in action and will be very disappointed that he is not going to compete.

Tony G commented: “To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have spent so much time talking to him and reassuring him recently but he’s just not going to come. We agreed a 50/50 staking deal, it all started out with personal contact and then in recent hours managers/agents got involved as you would expect. It has left a bad taste in my mount. What you have to understand is that he reached out to me first and asked and then agreed to play. As far as I am concerned I am washing my hands with him and moving on.”

So I guess we will have to wait even longer before we find out who the mystery poker player is, if we ever even find out at all. According to the blog Isildur1 has some personal issues in which he has to attend to.
