Lock Poker has found themselves in the news quite a bit over the past year or two for quite a few reasons. One of the biggest reasons at first was their decision to separate themselves from the Merge Gaming Network, where they were actually one of the top rooms on the network. They not only left Merge, but decided to purchase the Cake Poker Network and create a new group called Revolution Gaming. They decided to go ahead and use the Cake Poker Network’s software, but make a few changes and upgrades to the software for the players, and from that point they have continued to move forward. Another thing that they’ve done is added many strong professional players as a part of their LockPRO Elite family, and this newest big of news is about possibly one of the biggest additions that they’ve been able to announce.

The addition is of the popular poker pro Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi to a part of the LockPRO Elite team. As you can imagine, Lock Poker is excited about adding The Grinder into the mix as one of their new pros on their team, and he is going to be a great addition to the team. Mizrachi’s professional poker career started when he left college in order to attempt to pursue being a professional poker player. Back in 2006 was when his name really got out there, as he was able to win two World Poker Tour titles that year, and was also able to win the Player of the Year award for Card Player. Looking at his total scores and his resume currently, he has won two World Series of Poker Players’ Championships, three WSOP gold bracelets, and already finds himself ranked 8th in the total winnings list with over $14 million in career earnings to this point.

2010 was another big reason why Mizrachi broke onto the scene not only as a fan favorite, but as an all around excellent player. He was able to make a run in the World Series of Poker Main Event and finish in 5th place bringing home a big score. This was just after he had won that first Players’ Championship during the summer in Las Vegas. Mizrachi is a part of quite a few other things as well, including being an ambassador for things like the Breeders’ Cup, Turlock Poker Room in California, and the International Stadiums Poker Tour. On top of all of this Michael Mizrachi is a DeepStacks Pro.

Lock Poker is going to plan on bringing in Mizrachi in all parts of their poker plans. The exact quote said that they were planning on “integrating him into all aspects of the company.” Making this a very interesting addition, and they have shown that they are consistently focused in on bringing in people who can better their site and help them grow as well.

Lock Poker was actually launched four years ago, and just recently expanded their game into offering some casino-based action as well. Lock was also one of the first companies out there to develop a downloadable casino for Mac players. One other thing worth noting is the fact that they also added in a new poker room manager in Eric Rizen which was a great addition, and has helped propel them to being one of the top online poker room options for United States players and beyond.

One thing that Lock has done a great job doing to help draw in additional players and traffic is the addition of big time poker tournaments and also adding some great tournament series’ as well. If there’s one thing that online poker players love then it would be the big time poker tournaments and the series’ that are going to pay out some massive pay days and allow players to work their way up through the leader boards as well. We’ll keep you updated on any big series’ that are offered from Lock Poker, and also any news that comes out about the addition of Mizrachi to the team, or anything else going on with Lock Poker or the other top online poker rooms in the game today.
