  • November Niner Joe Cada Signs with PokerStars

Joe Cada will be the youngest player at the final table when the World Series of Poker Final Table gets underway in November and this time, when Joe sits down he will be wearing PokerStars gear. Cada is the newest representative of the top online poker room and the third player to represent the poker room at the final table this November.

Cada is currently sitting fifth in chips for final table play and he will join Eric Buchman who is second in chips and Kevin Schaffell who is sixth to represent PokerStars at the final table. Cada commented on working with PokerStars, stating: “I’m proud to have been chosen to represent PokerStars. Their reputation and prestige are second to none. I look forward to bringing even more accolades to their already decorated team.”

Cada may be able to do that very soon because if he wins the Main Event he will be breaking Peter Eastgate’s record of being the youngest players ever to win the WSOP main event. Cada is the tender age of twenty one.

Cada is the last player to represent PokerStars at the final table of this year’s WSOP as the WSOP created a rule that a poker room can only have three players at a final table to wear apparel with their logos or promotional material. This rule was most likely made in response to last year’s final table which had six PokerStars sponsored pros, all supporting their team. If PokerStars decided to sign the last player at the final table without a sponsor, Darvin Moon, one of the PokerStars pros would have to sit at the table without the PokerStars gear.
It will be interesting to see if Moon signs with any online poker room. Moon is the chip leader going into final table play and he has admitted to never playing online poker. So he may choose to go solo and wear what he wants instead of signing with an online poker room.
