Live and online poker fans alike will be pleased to hear that PKR.com Live is returning to London’s Loose Cannon Casino this spring. PKR announced the 3-day festival will take place April 17th through the 19th, culminating in a PKR Live II Main Event with an expected prize pool of $75,000.

The first PKR Live took place in London in November of 2008, instantly drawing the attention of players from all over the world. Traveling from as far as Russia and Canada, members of the PKR online poker room emerged from behind their 3D avatars to pit their skills against one another in a live tournament setting.

The atmosphere at PKR Live was one of unity and kinship as online foes faced each other in person for the first time. So astounding was the camaraderie that Rick Dacey, Editor of Stacked Magazine commented, “I’ve been to tournaments in Monte Carlo and Las Vegas, the Bahamas and Barcelona, but I’ve never experienced such a sense of goodwill and enjoyment as I did at PKR Live.”

One PKR Poker member by the username ‘Soosik’ said PKR Live was “one of the best live events I have ever been to, with undoubtedly the best people and atmosphere of the lot!” Another more humorous analogy came from user ‘eyesofgreen’ – “PKR live was as good as……Hhhmmm, No, BETTER than… SEX!!!”

PKR Live II will be an exclusive tournament, open to winners of Satellite competitions and by-invitation only. PKR is currently hosting a multitude of Satellites to PKR Live II. Some offer complete $1,000 prize packages to PKR Live II, while others award a $600 prize packages – referred to as ‘seat only’ – that cover only the buy-ins for all tournaments.

“We’re delighted to announce our return to the live arena!” proclaimed PKR’s marketing deirector, Simon Prodger. “PKRPoker.com Live was great fun to be a part of and showed that PKR has the most vibrant poker community anywhere online. We look forward to providing another 150 of our players with a weekend to remember!”
