Just this year online poker room PKR created their very first online poker team. Along the way the poker room has added players to the team and up until now the team had eight pros. Now the team has added a new member which brings the total to nine poker pros.

The new player added to the poker team is Vladimir “beyne” Geshkenhein. Vladimir is a Russian high roller who gained poker fame when he won the Asian Pacific Poker Tour High roller event earlier this year. That win earned Vladimir $266,000 and the attention of the poker world. More recently, Vladimir won the PKR Heads up Grand Slam after beating Juha Helppi earning $120,000.
Vladimir decided to go pro after practicing his skills at PKR. The decision to go pro was made by Vladimir in January of this year. He moved to Malta to play professionally and since that time he has won the above mentioned events as well as competed in many others.

Eddie Hearn the Managing Director for Matchroom Sport commented on Vladimir’s playing ability. Hearn produced the PKR Heads up Grand Slam and stated: “Poker viewers are in for a real treat when they see Vladimir in action in the upcoming PKR Heads UP Grand Slam on Sky Sports in January. The game is all about personalities and ‘beyne’ has it in abundance….He is some player too!”
Simon Prodger the Marketing Director for PKR commented on Vladimir signing with PKR by stating: “We have been following Vladimir’s progress for some time – he is an excellent poker player, charismatic, and fantastic to watch at the tables. He is a very active member in our community and consistently contributes content to our growing poker strategy repository, Raise Your Game.”
