Twenty two year old Russian poker player ‘innerpsy’ decided to play 40,000 in just a twenty four hour period. On the twenty first of November the online poker player just before 8:30 am ‘innerspy’ sat down at his computer and played for eighteen hours and thirty three minutes. During that time he played so much poker that he broke the world record for number of online poker hands played in a single day.
Innerspy has been playing professional poker for a few years now and commented: “Before this challenge, I had never actually played more than 20,000 hands in a day before, but the idea came up and I just figured I could do it. It was one of the toughest things I have ever accomplished, but I am proud I managed it.”
Innerspy did the poker challenge at the number one online poker room PokerStars and it was hosted by the Russian forum Card Game Masters. Almost 10,000 fans of the game logged online to watch the poker player attempt to play for the long period of time. Fans could watch the performance on two video streams as well as a live radio broadcast.
Innerspy also commented: “I gained a lot of experience doing this and will definitely try it again in order to improve upon my result. One of my main goals is also to reach Supernova Elite status.”
