PokerStars Releases Details on UK and Ireland Poker Tour

PokerStars has announced the details of their UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) today. The online poker room announced the details of the tour after they saw great success during their sponsorship of the Irish Poker championships in Galway.
The UKIPT will take place in Ireland, England and Scotland starting this December. The tournament will run throughout 2010 and Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham will be one of the major venues on the tour. The G Casinos in Coventry and Manchester will also be key components of the tour. The grand final will be held in October during the 2010 European Poker Tour London.
The buy-ins during this tour are relatively low compared to other tours. Buy-ins start as low as £500+£50 but PokerStars will also be offering satellites for players to earn their spot. Higher buy-in events will also take place with buy-ins of £1,000 and £2,000 with the main event having a buy-in of £5,000.
PokerStars has already started the qualifiers for the Galway event and they will continue to offer qualifiers throughout the year for other UKIPT events. This tour is set to be a large one which is expected from PokerStars, the number one poker room available online. There will be without a doubt a large number of players competing in the UKIPT events, whether they be locals, poker pros or those who have qualified online, all will be looking to be the first to claim a UKIPT win.
