  • PokerStars Sunday July 3rd 2011 Tournament Report

    Monday, July 4th, 2011 by t2admin

PokerStars is now by far the only place to play huge MTT’s on weekends for the time being. If you haven’t heard yet, Full Tilt lost its gambling license for now at least and there are no games running in the poker room right now. If you needed an MTT fix this weekend your only choice was to head over to PokerStars and compete in one of the many major tournaments. Two of the big tourneys at PokerStars ended in a deal this weekend, but not between 7 players like we saw last week.

PokerStars Sunday Million

• Entrants – 5718 / Prize Pool – $1,143,600

The PokerStars Sunday Million easily went over the $1M guarantee again this weekend and the top 2 players ended up winning six figures. The top 2 players in the Sunday Million ended up agreeing on a deal and they both made roughly the same amount of money. Bmky88 ended up winning $161,000 for finishing in 1st place, which was a bit more than Pavel Lipa made for finishing in 2nd place. Lipa earned just under $150,000 for finishing the tourney in 2nd place. Cuzco wasn’t apart of the deal this weekend in the Sunday Million, but Cuzco still walked away with a $92K payday for his/her 3rd place finish.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up

• Entrants – 2917 / Prize Pool – $583,400

The PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up didn’t break the 3000 player mark this week, but the prize pool still went over the guaranteed amount by roughly $83K. There wasn’t a deal made in the Sunday Warm-Up this week and 1st place almost ended up winning over $100K. Maicon178 won the tourney this weekend and ended up taking home the grand prize of $91K. Micado74 took home a huge prize of $68K for winning 2nd place and ModerMan22 won just less than $50K for finishing in 3rd place.

PokerStars Sunday 500

• Entrants – 511 / Prize Pool – $255,500

If you’re looking to play in a smaller MTT on Sundays you should check out the PokerStars Sunday 500. The buy-in is $530, but there are ways to qualify for the tournament each week. This week there was a small deal between the top 3 players and they all ended up with a nice payday considering the size of the tournament. Milana Jones won $40K for finishing in 1st place, PatCash83 took home $34K for finishing in 2nd place and WhatIsICM won $33K for taking down 3rd place.
