  • PokerStars Sunday June 26th 2011 Tournament Report

    Monday, June 27th, 2011 by t2admin

PokerStars was nice and busy this Sunday and lots of players walked away with huge prizes. There was over $2M up for grabs in the many tournaments on Sunday and there was just about $2M in prize money just in the 3 events we’re covering. This week we seen a huge deal in the PokerStars Sunday Million that we’re going to look at below. With the 2011 WSOP running right now in Las Vegas, it’s great to see such a nice turnout at PokerStars this past Sunday.

PokerStars Sunday Million

• Entrants – 5636 / Prize Pool – $1,127,000

Normally we don’t see many deals that include more than 3 players, but this week the top 7 players in the PokerStars Sunday Million agreed on a deal and they all walked away with over $50,000 apiece. Pokernoeide took down a huge $81K prize for winning 1st place, but that wasn’t even close to what Dr.Greenish earned for 2nd place ($128K). The other players that were apart of the huge final table deal in the Sunday Million this week include Pollaku ($70K), O_Omx ($93K), Lol1k12 ($73K), Cimente ($57K) and PedroKL ($67K).

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up

• Entrants – 2806 / Prize Pool – $561,200

The PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up didn’t end with a deal this week, which I’m sure the top players are happy about since they won the most amount possible for their placing in the event. Gribnogrib won $88K for winning the tournament, which is a very nice payday for a tournament with fewer than 3K players. Gurran1 earned $65K for taking down 2nd place in the event and RuiNF ended up securing a 3rd place finish, which was worth a whopping $47K.

PokerStars Sunday 500

• Entrants – 575 / Prize Pool – $287,500

There was a 3-way deal made in the PokerStars Sunday 500 this week and each player ended up making about the same amount of cash, as they were fairly even when the deal was agreed upon. Michiel Brummelhuis ended up taking down the Sunday 500 after the deal was made and he made the most money, as he earned a payday of $43K. Sfagundes finished the Sunday 500 at PokerStars this past weekend in 2nd place and won $38K while LStrelec won $38K also for finishing in 3rd place. If you want a chance to win $1000’s you need to visit PokerStars today and start playing in the Sunday Majors every weekend.
