  • PokerStars Sunday Oct 31st Tournaments Report

    Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 by t2admin

It was another busy weekend at PokerStars this Sunday, but it wasn’t quite as busy as last week. There was an overlay in the PokerStars Sunday 500 this week by a few thousand dollars. There usually aren’t that many overlays at PokerStars, but with Halloween this past Sunday, I’m sure the traffic was down a bit compared to normal. I doubt there will be any overlays next weekend, so make sure you join the events as soon as possible.

There are already satellite tournaments running in the PokerStars poker room for next weekend’s tournaments. They start at only a few dollars and it isn’t that difficult to qualify for most of the events due to the number of satellite tournaments offered. Below are the results from the action at PokerStars this past Sunday, October 31st 2010.

PokerStars Sunday 500

As I mentioned above, the PokerStars Sunday 500 had a bit of an overlay this past weekend. There were 989 players fighting for their share of the $500K prize pool. Luke Nettles ended up taking down first place and won $87,400. Mario Puccini won $63,500 for his second place finish and TheCooler992 took down third place this weekend for $47,500. It was a good tournament with lots of familiar faces going deep in the event.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up

There were 4680 players in the Sunday Warm-Up at PokerStars on Sunday, which was a great turnout considering it was Halloween, this past Sunday. The prize pool reached 936K this weekend and three players ended up leaving the tournament with over $100K in winnings. The reason three players won over $100K was because they all made a deal once they got down to the top three. The three players that ended up finishing in the top 3 include Levan1971 ($118,860.89), KavinDaaa ($105,089.26) and Mortiz Kranich ($109,153.53). If you’re wondering why Kranich won more money for third place, it’s because he had more chips when the deal was made.

PokerStars Sunday Million

The big winner every weekend is whoever wins the Sunday Million at PokerStars and this weekend it was Zareta ($230,519.93). The event had 8523 participants and a prize pool of just over $1.7 million. It’s always a marathon of a tournament and this weekend was no different. Marado86 managed to secure 2nd place this weekend and won $203,482 due to the deal that the top two players made when it was just them left. 3rd place went to YoItsMeDude ($127,845), which means the top 3 players earned six figures this weekend.

You only need to be lucky once to win a huge amount of money in the MTT’s every Sunday at PokerStars. Make sure you sign-up now so you can participate in the tournaments this weekend.
