  • Revolution Gaming Network Set To Kick Off

Lock Poker and Cake Poker Network are officially combing to make a massive online poker network called the Revolution Gaming Network. The hype around this new network has been ongoing for the past month or so after it was announced, but it will officially kick off on Friday. The combination of the Cake Poker Network and Lock Poker has the potential to be one of the biggest and best online poker networks out there today, and is one that many players could potentially be switching over to when the new network is set up on Friday, which is the first of June.

Players can expect quite a few things from the new network, but the main thing is some excellent promotions all around. For starters you’ll find that they offer players the $1 million Ronin rake chase, which is one of the most popular promotions that the site has ran. They also offer players an incredible 36% rakeback, which is actually the best out of any online poker site in the game today. There will also be a specific bonus for new and current players on the site that will start with a match bonus of 200% on up to $2,000 with a few restrictions. There was also the much-anticipated LockOps Tournament Series which was cancelled, but that will now be ran once again on the new Revolution Gaming Network.

Lock’s move to leave the Merge Gaming Network came as quite a surprise to many people, and it probably had a good amount to do with the LockOps being cancelled by the network at the last minute. This put the future of Lock Poker on Merge in doubt, and it was a big part of their decision to leave. Their higher-up’s at the site also said that they didn’t feel that they could grow anymore on the network, which led to them making the move. Lock then decided to purchase the Cake Poker Network which hasn’t lived up to the hype over the past few years as they were having some serious issue processing cashouts after Black Friday hit. The combination of the two sites and the fact that Lock will handle the cashouts will make a major difference.

There have also been some talks behind Lock Poker making changes to the software that Cake Poker had, and also to change up the VIP program. If you are currently a player on Lock Poker you’ll have to download a new software update in order to play on the Revolution Gaming Network, but the account balances and reward program points will be switched over without an issue.

The Lock Poker is an interesting option for United States players, and is one that we could potentially find a ton of players heading over to. While the other most popular sites for US players feature mainly sites on the Merge Gaming Network, the loss of Lock is going to make a huge difference to that network. Keep an eye on the Revolution Gaming Network starting Friday!
