The aim of Day 3 of the World Poker Tour Jacksonville was to weed out the 42 players who remained in the tournament, and bring the number down to 6 players, who would make up the final table. However, when the play continued past midnight, the organizers were worried as the poker room had to close at 3.30 AM. Unfortunately for Matt Ezrol, his elimination took place an hour and a half before the room was required to shut down. The top six will soon battle for the championship title. Currently ranked first in the tournament is Anthony Ruberto (Massachusetts) with 4.5 million in chips.

Ruberto Leads the Pack

Anthony Ruberto has plenty of experience playing on the live circuit. He has career earnings worth $437,259 and has made several appearances at final tables. He has also won two tournaments, though they were fairly minor. More than half of his career winnings stem from a single tournament. This was the No-Limit Hold’em Fall Poker Open Championship which was hosted at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino (Seminole) in Hollywood. He took second place and won $275,242. As one of the final six, no matter at what place he finishes at the final table, it will be his second cash at a WPT event to accompany his WSOP score.

First Woman to Win WPT Title

Lisa Hamilton has set her sights on becoming the first woman to win a title at a World Poker Tour event. Though earlier this year, Natalia Nikitina won the WPT Paris National Series, it was not considered a WPT title as it was a national event rather than a global one. Hamilton is no novice and has won several live poker tournaments including the Ladies Championship at World Series of Poker 2009. She won 5th place at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2010 in the No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Event ($25,000). She made her presence felt on Day 3 after eliminating Michael Messick in 9th place. Hamilton will take her seat at the final table with a good stack of chips (1.901 million), in third place following Roberto (4.5 million) and Vitor Coelho (2.57 million).

Players who were Eliminated

Jacob Naquin and Deshun Boone both began their day of play with short stacks and were eliminated when they were close to making cash wins. Naquin was the bubble boy who was eliminated by Soverel. Mike Beasley, Brandon Steven, Corey Burbick, Dan Buzgon, Prescott, Brian Hawkins, Dwyte Pilgrim and Ben Zamani were also eliminated.

WPT Jacksonville Final Table

The final table game will take place featuring the remaining six players, who will each be vying for the first prize of $325,928. The runner up will be able to take home a cash prize of $287,762. The player who is eliminated first of the six will win $46,315.

Darryll Fish will take the first seat at the table with 641,000 chips. Anthony Ruberto will claim the second seat with 4,500,000 chips. Sam Soverel will be seated third with 1,432,000 chips. Vitor Coelho will have the fourth seat with 2,570,000. Next to him, the fifth seat will be claimed by Artie Rodriguez with 797,000 chips. Lisa Hamilton will take seat six with 1,901,000 chips.
