Just a few days ago the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada hosted a special poker tournament to benefit the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The tournament saw many celebrities and poker pros competing and it was Trishelle Cannatella of Absolute Poker who claimed the title.

The tournament had a buy-in of $1,000 plus $70 and it was a Texas Hold’em event. sixty players competed in the event including UltimateBet’s Tiffany Michelle. The tournament was titled the Trash Talk Championship of the World and Cannatella was the very first winner of the competition.

Cannatella won a large cash prize as well as a twenty pound crystal trophy along with a invitational seat at the World Series of Poker. Cannatella decided to donate a large portion of her prize to Sharon’s charity which helped the donations rise to over $30,000.

Other celebrity players who participated in the tournament were: Lou Diamond Phillips, Nancy Cartwright, Jesse Metcalfe, Cheryl Hines, Maria Ho, Kathy Liebert and many more. Trishelle almost didn’t get to make the final table as she thought she would be making a brief appearance in the tournament she booked an early flight out that night but when she found herself at the final table she had to decide if she was going to continue to compete or make her flight.

Trishelle commented that she was playing well but she had ‘donked’ off half of her chip stack because she thought she was going to be leaving. But in the end she stayed and it resulted in a win. Trishelle joined Absolute Poker in November 2009 as a celebrity endorser and she has shown she has what it takes to play the game of poker. players can play against Trishelle at Absolute Poker and she can be found via the Absolute Buddy software at the online poker site.
