  • UltimateBet and Absolute Poker Add Synchronized Breaks

Last week, online poker rooms UltimateBet and Absolute Poker both added synchronized breaks. The breaks have become normality at rival poker rooms such as PokerStars and Full Tilt so it was only natural that UltimateBet and Absolute Poker add the breaks to their sites.

Players will now be able to compete on the CEREUS Network and be able to take a break at fifty five minutes past the hour. Players will have five minutes to do what they need to do such as use the restroom or grab a quick bite, before the action will resume.

Multi-table tournaments at both sites now offer the breaks. These tournaments are the only ones that offer the five minute breaks. Even if a tournament starts at say 11:30 the tournament will still break at
the fifty five minute mark, this way all tournaments stay on schedule of the breaks.

CEREUS stated that all hands must be completed before a rest will start. Also breaks will not occur in tournaments that are still open for late registration or those they are still in the first blind level. Turbo and ultra turbo tournaments within the first two blind levels as well as multi-table sit and go games will not offer the breaks to players.
With the new synchronized breaks update also comes a Raise button added feature. Players are now able to raise to a certain amount without having to subtract their initial bet. This new feature will make it easier for players to make their bets as it eliminates the need for players to do mental math on the spot. It also means that raising the bet during a game will take two steps rather than three, which will increase game play time.
