Poker Terms Glossary - Big Blind

The larger of the two bets in games such as Texas Holdem and Omaha Poker. The small blind and “big blind” are placed by the two players to the left of the dealer. This betis placed in addition to any antes and is used to stimulate action before the first round of betting.
